Glacier National Park

After the late night with his Canadian Buddies, he was off to cross the US Border, and drive on to Glacier National Park.  He described the Park as a gorgeous place, with beauiful cliffs, steep narrow roads, and LOTS of traffic!  He took the "Road to the Sun", only to find more road construction, forcing everyone to a single lane, on a very steep cliff, with not much protection on the side of the road, and many delays.  Going-to-the-Sun Road splits the northern and southern halves of Glacier National Park in two and crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass (6,646 feet) and is described as a "don't look down kind of road"!

Current news stories tell that the escaped prisoners from the Arizona Prison who are suspected of killing people along their journey, are suspected to be near Glacier National Park.  I asked Jess about the story, and he said that nearly everyone has a story about "a sighting" of the pair. He is staying in Shelby, Montana tonight, at "A Little Old Lady" motel, and she had a story that they were sighted at the gas station next door!  The trip through this part of Montana was through wheat fields, where farmers are harvesting the wheat crop.  Long stretches of nothing, he says!
